Our Story: Why We Created Sleepi

Some stories are born out of inspiration. Ours was born out of love — and a deep desire to help.

For as long as I can remember, my family has lived with sensory sensitivities. Autism runs in our family, along with anxiety and restless sleep. I grew up watching the people I love struggle with overwhelming sounds, sudden changes, and the restless nights that so often followed. I saw firsthand how exhausting it could be — not just for the person experiencing it, but for everyone who cares about them.

As a child, I didn’t have the words to describe it. I just knew that some days felt like too much, and that quiet moments of calm were rare and precious. As I got older, I learned about sensory processing and how our nervous systems can become overstimulated. I began to understand why the smallest tools — a certain texture, a rhythmic movement, a gentle pulse — could bring such relief.

For years, I searched for something that could truly make a difference. Not just a product, but a lifeline in those moments of overwhelm. Something that could help soothe anxiety, support focus, and make sleep easier — without feeling complicated or intrusive.

That’s when I found the technology behind Sleepi.

It was simple. Portable. Gentle. And most importantly, it worked. The first time I saw it ease a family member’s anxious hands, I knew it was different. The first time I saw it help my loved one fall asleep without tears or frustration, I knew it was special.

From that moment, my mission was clear: to share this tool with others who need it.

Sleepi isn’t just another gadget. It’s the product I wish we’d had years ago. It’s for the child who needs a moment of sensory regulation before starting the day. For the adult lying awake at 2 a.m., mind racing. For the parent who wants to help but feels powerless.

This is for every family like mine, and for every individual who knows the quiet battle of sensory overwhelm.

Our story isn’t just about a product. It’s about hope.
It’s about taking something personal — the challenges we’ve faced for generations — and turning it into something that might make your life a little lighter, calmer, and more peaceful.

And that’s why we do what we do.
